Amnesty International launched an urgent action for the three individuals arrested this year for their “potential participation” in the Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride March, which was blocked by police violence.

Amnesty stated: “Activists Hivda Selen, Sinem Çelebi, and Doğan Nur were arbitrarily detained on the day of the Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride March and have been imprisoned since June 30 on unfounded charges related to peaceful assembly,” calling for the release of all three.
